Am I too old for orthodontics?
There is no age limit for orthodontics.  Teeth and tissue are essentially the same in both adults and children.  Orthodontics can successfully realign crooked teeth or a protruding overbite regardless of your age.

What are the benefits of straight teeth?
A correct bite not only helps with improved chewing and speech, but also helps to reduce future wear on the bone and jaw joints.  It makes the teeth much easier to care for and keep clean.

 

Is it necessary to have a referral to Dr. Campbell?
No.  While many of  Dr. Campbell's patients have been referred by their family dentists, many others have been have been referred by other patients who have benefited from our quality orthodontics. 

 

Should I continue to see my family dentist while in braces?
Yes.  It is very important to continue your regular dental check ups to prevent or detect any decay and to monitor the health of supporting structures.

 

What will happen on the first visit to Dr. Campbell's office?
At your first appointment, Dr. Campbell will perform a complete orthodontic examination.  If the need for treatment is indicated, the next step will be gather a complete set of orthodontic records.

 

What are orthodontic records?
Orthodontic records usually include x-rays of the teeth and face, and models of the teeth.  Advanced computer technology is used to evaluate the growth and structure of the jaw.  These records enable us to develop an appropriate treatment plan.

 

Do I have to pay for orthodontic care all at once?
No.  We are sensitive to your financial circumstances and try to provide a flexible payment plan that is within the comfort level of your budget.  For your convenience, payments are usually spread over the estimated treatment time.

 

Will my dental insurance pay for my orthodontic care?
Many of today's dental policies include orthodontic coverage.  For questions and concerns about eligibility contact your health insurance company representative.
